I thought I was bad at reading music…

The only way I could keep going was by learning every piece by heart, then standing in front of the music stand and reading only the pitch of the notes, without telling anyone that I didn’t truly understand what I was reading.

What I didn’t know was that my brain was processing information in a different way. Having dyslexia and dyscalculia (affecting language processing and mathematical reasoning) didn’t mean I couldn’t learn music; it meant I needed to find a different way to understand it.

That’s why I created Musical Balance: because this musical game transforms abstract mathematical reasoning in rhythm into proportional and visual reasoning, where notes can be seen, compared, and experienced.

Sometimes we don’t need to practice more. We need to discover how our brain processes information best.

This material is designed for musicians, teachers, and students who feel that rhythm or music reading is a barrier. Because learning music shouldn’t depend on just one way of teaching. Share this video with that musician friend who always says they’re not good at reading sheet music. Find Musical Balance in the Bolognani-Methode online store.
